What should a poster look like?
  • It should attract attention of potential readers.
  • It should present research results in a simple and clear way.
  • It should contain all necessary information in a way that allows the topic to be understood without additional explanation.
  • It should be linguistically correct (spelling, punctuation, style).

What should it include?
  • Title of the paper
  • Information about the author(s) (academic title, first name, last name, affiliation, email)
  • A short introduction to the topic (encouraging the reader to explore the full content), including a clearly defined objective of the study
  • Description of the research method
  • Research results
  • Conclusions
  • Optionally: cited literature (maximum 10 most important references)
  • Acknowledgements for individuals who contributed to the work (e.g., gave interviews, participated in research, etc.)

Poster layout
  • A poster is a visual presentation. Its graphic form is very important.
  • The poster should be in A1 format (59.4 cm × 84.1 cm) – vertical orientation.
  • The conference logo should be placed in the upper left corner, in an appropriate size.
  • Recommended font sizes:
    • Title: sans-serif font, 90–140 pt
    • Headings: 36–84 pt
    • Body text: 18–26 pt
  • Thoughtful arrangement of text blocks and graphics is important, as well as proper placement of the title.
  • Printed elements (text, objects) should not be closer than 0.5 cm to the edge of the poster.
  • Figures and graphics should be appropriately large and clearly legible.
  • Photos look good with a border, whereas charts generally do not.
